Disposable Hair Pieces: Myths and Misconceptions

Disposable hair pieces.

If you’ve been around the hair replacement industry lately, you’ve probably heard this term. In fact, disposable hair pieces are one of the most popular forms of hair replacement systems these days. But what are disposable hair pieces, and why should (or shouldn’t) you be buying them?

Many hair replacement companies are touting disposable hair pieces as the ultimate hair loss solution.

Think about it â€" you get the hair, wear it for a month, and throw it away. What could be better than that?

Actually, the whole thing is kind of a joke. In recent years, the cost for producing human hair pieces has significantly increased.

Many hair replacement companies in the United States decided instead of passing the price increase on to their customers, or taking the hit themselves, they would find another way to sell hair pieces at the same prices.

Thus, disposable hair pieces were born.

In a nutshell, hair replacement companies have continued to keep their prices low by vastly reducing the quality of their hair replacement systems.

Then, to disguise the poor quality, they’ve rebranded their product as disposable hair pieces.

This way, they accomplish several things â€" they keep their costs low, disguise poor quality hair by forcing clients to discard the system after 30 days, and they get clients reordering hair on a monthly basis.

This switch to lesser quality hair puts the consumer at a huge disadvantage.

They end up purchasing poor quality goods, disguised as a convenience item. The reality is quality hair pieces can still be affordable.

Consumers just need to look in the right places.

When searching for a hair replacement company online, shoppers need to be wary of vendors selling disposable hair pieces.

This is a sure fire sign of a shoddy product.

Instead, look for stock pieces that offer some longevity.

If you can’t get 3 good months of use out of your hair piece, you should absolutely look for a new hair piece provider.

Another huge indicator of poor quality is any type of program or service that you need to make a monthly commitment to in order to get a reasonable price on a hair piece.

Let’s face it, there’s no reason why a hair replacement provider in another state, that you’ve never personally met should be telling you when it’s time to change your hair system.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. A good quality hair piece should last well over 30 days, and you should continue to wear your hair system as long as possible.

There is no reason why you would need to change a perfectly good hair piece just because 30 days has passed, so this is a clear sign that your hair replacement company is taking you for a ride. Instead, look for a company that has fair pricing and allows you to purchase hair pieces at will, with no strings attached.

A company that stands behind their products doesn’t need a monthly commitment from you, their products and service will naturally keep you coming back.
